Charlie Rowley, who was poisoned by what the British authorities claim to be the Novichok nerve agent, was discharged from hospital on Friday and poses no risk to the public, the medics said. The 45-year-old had gone through an "appalling experience most of us could never imagine," Salisbury District Hospital said in a statement, adding that doctors “worked tirelessly, supported by brilliant behind the scenes staff" for the man’s recovery. Rowley and his 44-year-old partner Dawn Sturgess were hospitalized from their home in Amesbury on 30 June over severe poisoning symptoms, and the woman died a week later.
