A German court on Wednesday sentenced a woman who was part of a neo-Nazi gang to life in prison, finding her guilty on 10 counts of murder. Beate Zschaepe was part of the National Socialist Underground (NSU), whose members killed eight Turks, a Greek and a German policewoman over seven years from 2000. Zschaepe is the last remaining member of the cell. She had denied participating in the murders, although her lawyer said that she felt morally guilty for not trying to prevent the killings.
