The situation with the Skripals is particularly worrisome, as London’s attitude fuels suspicions that the Russian citizens might be “forcibly isolated” or their “condition differs from the officially proclaimed” condition, Zakharova added. Russia will continue to urge the UK to fulfill its obligations to appropriate consular access. Former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were exposed to military grade Novichok-class nerve agent back in March, according to the UK authorities, which squarely pinned the blame for the incident on Moscow. Russia has denied any wrongdoing and urged London to provide evidence and conduct a transparent investigation.
