At least 40 found dead, dozens still missing after boats capsize off Thailand

Thailand’s government said on Friday that at least 40 people have been found dead and dozens are still missing after two boats carrying tourists capsized in storm off the coast of the resort island of Phuket, according to CNN. One of the vessels, the Phoenix PC Diving ship, was carrying 105 passengers, including Thai crew members, tourist guides, and 93 tourists -many of them Chinese holidaymakers. The Foreign Ministry in Beijing said on Friday that two Chinese nationals have been confirmed dead and 47 were missing. Seventy-eight Chinese nationals have been rescued.
