A court in the French city of Nimes has sentenced a man to four years in prison for publications in support of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS) terrorist group, RIA Novosti said on Wednesday. The man, who is 30 and the father of four children, had previously served five years in prison for participation in a criminal community connected with terrorists, according to media reports. The man recently posted an IS flag and records about “atheists” on his social media pages. For these publications, a court had originally sentenced him to six months in prison. The prosecutor’s office appealed against this decision, and he was given the new term.
