The Syrian Kurdish YPG militia said on Tuesday that its military advisers would leave the northern Syrian city of Manbij. The statement came a day after Turkey and the United States said they had agreed a plan for the northern area that included a YPG withdrawal. The YPG said its fighting forces withdrew from Manbij in November 2016, but the military advisers had remained to work with the Manbij military council. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Tuesday that the Syrian Kurdish YPG militia will be stripped of their weapons when withdrawing from Syria’s Manbij as part of the roadmap agreed with Washington, Reuters reported.
