Two Houthi boats, allegedly threatening an oil tanker in the Red Sea, have been destroyed by the Saudi-led coalition in the region, according to an Al Arabiya television report on Wednesday. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) news agency, WAM, also said UAE coalition forces destroyed two boats, while another two escaped. They were described as being deployed by the Houthi movement to target the tanker. There were details about the tanker, and neither report gave or mentioned whether it had been damaged. The coalition has said the Houthis are armed and supported by Saudi arch-adversary Iran, but both the group and Tehran deny the charges.
