A tourist has died after falling onto rocks while trying to take a selfie in Western Australia, 9news reported on Friday. A group of the international student’s friends watched on in horror as he fell from the tourist spot, The Gap in Albany, just before 3pm Thursday. The 20-year-old man had left the viewing platform to climb onto the rocks, which rise 40 meters above the ocean below, then slipped and fell, hitting the rocks below before being dragged out to sea. Sea Rescue crews pulled the man from the water, but he couldn’t been revived. The victim’s friend, Sahil Singh, told ABC News, he was being “very careful but slipped.” The man reportedly traveled 415km from Perth with eight friends to visit the popular attraction.
