The EU foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, has met with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Brussels as the Europeans seek to keep the Iran nuclear agreement, AP reported. Zarif said on Tuesday he wanted to discuss the nuclear deal, which US President Donald Trump withdrew from last week, as well as the deaths of dozens of Palestinians in Gaza. The minister was due to hold talks later in Brussels with the foreign ministers of Britain, France, and Germany. The EU hopes to convince Iran to continue to respect the landmark nuclear agreement.
