The decision by the US to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal is a “violation of morals,” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said during a meeting with Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on Sunday. He added that it goes against the “correct way to carry out politics and diplomacy” and is “against international regulations.” Rouhani also reiterated that Tehran would stick to the deal if the remaining countries – the UK, Germany, France, China, and Russia – continue to be committed to it. Trump announced Washington's withdrawal from the deal on Tuesday, sparking criticism both internationally and domestically.
