Tesla has denied that its autopilot system was at fault for a car crash which claimed the lives of two Florida teenagers. In a statement late on Wednesday, a spokesperson for the company said it had not yet retrieved the logs from the vehicle but “everything we have found thus far indicated a very high-speed collision and that autopilot was not engaged.” Two teenagers were killed when their Tesla Model S drove off the road and hit a concrete wall before catching fire. The US National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, the latest crash follows two other Tesla car accidents this year.
