US President Donald Trump tweeted Monday afternoon that he will announce his decision regarding the future of the Iran nuclear deal on Tuesday, May 8, from the White House at 2pm local time. The much-anticipated announcement comes just one week after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s presentation in which he claimed that Iran had cheated on the deal and had continued clandestine operations to develop its own nuclear arsenal. Many political commentators at the time claimed that the presentation was aimed specifically at Trump. The US President has decried the Obama-era deal since taking office.
