Russia and Jordan agree that the efforts to launch a political process on Syria must be combined with the fight against terrorists, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said. He met on Thursday with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi in Sochi. The talks were focused on the Syrian settlement, Lavrov said, adding that the two countries agree that efforts to launch a political process must be combined with the struggle against the remnants of terrorist groups, RIA Novosti reports. Lavrov and Safadi also discussed the outlook for the two countries’ cooperation on the peaceful use of nuclear power.
