Bombings near a mosque have killed around 20 people in the town of Mubi, northeastern Nigeria. The blasts occurred in the Wuro-Burode area of the town while worshippers were observing afternoon prayer. The police commissioner of Adamawa state confirmed that around 20 people have died. Reuters is reporting that the blasts bear the hallmarks of an attack by the Islamist group Boko Haram. One was caused by a teenage boy who detonated a suicide vest, Nigerian news website Today reports. Tuesday’s bombings follow a similar attack last Thursday which killed four people in Maiduguri in the neighboring Borno state.
