Over 100 opposition activists detained in Armenia amid ongoing protests against PM

Police in Yerevan, Armenia detained 102 people Saturday as protesters moved their demonstration to residential districts, blocking the streets, RIA cited the national police press service as saying. The mass protests swept the country after former President Serzh Sargsyan was appointed as the new prime minister. As demonstrations continue for the 9th day, Sargsyan called on opposition leader Nikol Pashinyan to start a dialogue to avoid “irreversible losses.”
