The permanent council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) has condemned the airstrikes of the US, UK, and France on Syria, which were conducted on Saturday. The CSTO comprises Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. The organization also called on the UN Security Council to exert maximum efforts to prevent an escalation of the conflict in Syria. According to the CSTO, the US-led missile strikes on Syria were carried out “violating fundamental principles and norms of international law, the UN Charter and without the sanction of the UN Security Council.”
