Libya army commander Haftar ‘hospitalized in France,’ associates deny claim – reports

Commander of the Libyan army Marshal Khalifa Haftar was allegedly hospitalized in France, the Monde daily reported, citing sources. Haftar reportedly had a stroke, which required immediate treatment, according to the newspaper and other news outlets. They said the Libyan strongman was hospitalized in Paris from the Jordan capital Amman. However, some close associates of the commander refuted the claims. Sources were quoted as saying that he is in Jordan for political talks and feels well. The French Foreign Ministry has not commented of the reports, advising journalists to address his representatives.
