Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, who is also the presidential special representative for the Middle East and African countries, and Israel’s ambassador to Russia, Gary Koren, discussed the situation in Syria and the Gaza Strip during a meeting in Moscow on Tuesday, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. It added that a number of topical issues of Russian-Israeli bilateral relations were also discussed. Commenting on the results of the meeting at the Russian ministry, Koren described it as “a regular conversation.” The meeting came after an airstrike on Monday on the T-4 airbase in Syria, allegedly carried out by two Israeli F-15 fighter jets.
