Beijing has banned the export to North Korea of some items that could potentially be used in weapons of mass destruction, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Monday. The list of dual-use items reflects a UN Security Council resolution adopted unanimously in September over Pyongyang’s ballistic missile and nuclear programs. The ministry gave details of 32 materials, technologies and forms of equipment with potential applications related to weapons of mass destruction, including particle accelerators and centrifuges, Reuters said. It also outlined bans on items with potential dual use in conventional weapons.
