Two rockets fired from Gaza have exploded on Israeli territory in Sunday, the military and police said. One missile hit inside an Israeli community in the Hof Ashkelon region, while the other ended up in an open field nearby. No deaths or injuries were reported. It wasn’t immediately clear why the missiles weren’t intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, an army spokesperson told The Times of Israel. No group inside Gaza has yet taken responsibility for the attack. The firing of the missiles at Israeli territory have intensified since the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the Jewish State last Wednesday.
