Around 300 flights were cancelled at Belgian airports due to heavy snow on Tuesday, according to media reports. The cancellations affected more than 5,000 passengers. On Monday, high winds and heavy snow in Europe stranded thousands of travelers and kept schoolchildren at home, AFP said. It was the second consecutive day of fierce weather across the continent, with Britain still digging out from its deepest snowfall in four years. Flights were also cancelled in the Netherlands and UK.
