A ferry in northern France carrying over 300 passengers has run aground in stormy weather in Calais harbor. The incident brought maritime traffic to a standstill in the port of Calais. Two tugboats are trying to pull the ferry ‘Pride of Kent’, belonging to the British company P&O Ferries, which is bound for Dover. It reportedly ran aground after hitting a bridge during its maneuver leaving the port. “The ship was pushed to the other side of the port,” a company spokeswoman told AFP.
