The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office has handed over to the police a directive putting Mikhail Saakashvili on the wanted list, TASS reports. General Prosecutor Yury Lutsenko said earlier that the former Georgian president and governor of the Odessa Region, Ukraine, had 24 hours to present himself to law enforcement, after his supporters on Tuesday helped him escape police custody. On Wednesday morning, Saakashvili, who is demanding the Ukrainian president’s impeachment, was seen near the parliament building in Kiev. He told supporters that he spent a night in a tent camp, which “was attacked by police.” He also said more his supporters were expected to come to Kiev from regions and called on President Petro Poroshenko “not to provoke people.”
