On Wednesday, Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab described in a US court how he ran an international money laundering scheme “aimed at helping Iran get around US sanctions and spend its oil and gas revenues abroad,” Reuters said. The case has further strained ties between Ankara and Washington.
