Youth satellite to boost Russia-Indian space co-operation

The Russian Federal Space Service has announced plans to launch a Russian-Indian youth satellite in a year. Designed to carry out scientific research, the YouthSat is expected to be in orbit in late 2007 or in early 2008.

Russia and India signed 3 agreements on co-operation in space exploration last week.They include granting India the right of access to the Russian GLONASS navigation system.
