Over 60,000 youngsters have taken to the streets of Moscow to pay tribute to the veterans of World War Two.

The veterans themselves showed up to meet the young adults, who plan to make around 150,000 films – each of them telling the story of one veteran.

The idea is to create an extensive archive which preserves the true picture of the Second World War for future generations. The project is also aimed at fighting attempts to rewrite history.

The group has gathered controversial books which they say misrepresent the events of the war, and will send them to politicians who they claim are guilty of such falsifications.
