Top generals from the United States and Russia have disagreed once again over the U.S.-proposed missile defence shield in Eastern Europe. The dispute was among many matters discussed at the annual World Russian Forum in Washington DC.

The event, first held in 1981, brings together prominent politicians, businessmen, scholars and celebrities from both countries to talk about Russia-U.S. relations and co-operation. Two hundred people attended the event, which is seen as a venue to tackle difficult topics- the only way to help bring the two countries together.
