The U.S. and India have completed negotiations on a non-military nuclear co-operation deal. The agreement is expected to bring strong benefits for both sides as well as highlighting the possibility of peaceful nuclear cooperation.

“The agreement also sends an important message to nuclear outlaw regimes such as Iran. It sends a message that if you behave responsibly in regards to non-proliferation and you play by the rules you will not be penalised. You will be invited to participate more fully in international nuclear trade,” Nicholas Burns, Under Secretary of the U.S. State Department, stated. Post this story to del.icio.us
