U.S. and EU officials are to have a summit meeting in Washington on Monday to sign an agreement to open up trans-Atlantic air routes and boost trans-Atlantic trade.

They've agreed to side-step issues in their annual summit such as global trade and climate change, which they still disagree on.On the agenda will also be the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, Iran’s nuclear programme and the disputes with Russia over missile defence plans.
