Ukrainian officials denied entrance to Russia

Russia's Foreign Ministry says it will continue to deny entry to any Ukrainian politicians, whose actions or statements may cause damage to the country.

The move follows Ukraine's decision to declare Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov persona non grata after he suggested the Crimean port of Sevastopol, home of Russia's black Sea fleet, should belong to Russia. Ukraine claims it was a violation of its territorial integrity. The Fleet became an issue between Russia and Ukraine after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The Russian navy is contracted to remain in Sevastopol until 2017 but Ukraine is working on a draft bill to terminate the naval presence.
