The United Kingdom is to buy two Russian MI-17 helicopters to conduct anti-drug trafficking operations in the mountainous areas of Pakistan.

A Ministry of Defense spokesman in Moscow says the UK is also interested in buying supersonic missile targets from Russia, which are used for defensive training against possible missile strikes on sea-and air-based targets. Miltary attache Andy Verdon says the two countries are working closely in anti-terror operations.
