UK criticised for refusal to try Berezovsky

Russian officials have criticised Britain’s decision not to prosecute businessman in exile Boris Berezovsky for comments calling for the overthrow of the Russian government.

Berezovsky, who has political asylum in the UK, told the Guardian Newspaper in April that only the use of force could bring about political change in Russia. But British prosecutors say there isn't enough evidence he was attempting to incite violence, to press charges. Russia's been seeking Berezovsky’s extradition on corruption charges for years, and this week prosecutors in Moscow said they'll try Berezovsky for plotting a coup even though he's out of the country.
