Put 175,000 music fans in a large wet, muddy field in England and you have the perfect introduction to Glastonbury – one of the world's largest music festivals, which is also known to be the loudest and wettest open air extravaganza.
The international music event caters for a vast audience of music lovers, fusionists, environmentalists and pop and rock stars. The Glastonbury festival has become famous for its 'mud madness'. The rain and damp conditions hasn't previously stopped such A List celebrities as model Kate Moss or actress Keira Knightley from attending. This year such legends as 'The Who' and Welsh singing sensation Shirley Bassey are expected to perform alongside Las Vegas rockers 'The Killers' and northern England band 'Arctic Monkeys' This festival is not just about loud music and screaming fans – theatre, poetry, and circus entertainment are also enjoyed at the hippy haven.
