Fighting has broken out between rival lawmakers at Taiwan's legislature. Disagreements over a proposed law on electoral reform led to a scuffle between the ruling Democratic Progressive Party and the Nationalist Party.

The Democratic Party wants to introduce electoral reforms but was blocked from discussing its proposals by Nationalist Wang-Jin Pyng.  Members of the Democratic Party responded by preventing Wang from speaking. At least one lawmaker has been taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
