The space shuttle Endeavour has docked with the International Space Station. The mission is to deliver the first part of a Japanese laboratory to the ISS.

Before docking, the Endeavor performed a full 360 degree backflip to allow the space station crew to photograph its every inch. This has been a standard safety procedure since the Columbia shuttle disaster of 2003. Inspection so far has revealed everything to be in working order, but the images will be examined more closely by engineers on the ground.
