The homecoming of the Soyuz spacecraft, which was due to undock from the International Space Station, has been delayed due to technical problems.
A technical glitch reportedly caused some of the Soyuz spacecraft's automated system to register errors. This is the first time this has happened in the Space Station's twelve-year history.
Officials say there is no cause for concern – the undocking will just take place a little later than planned as the space crew is now taking steps to solve the problem.
Russians Aleksandr Skvortsov and Mikhail Kornienko, and American Tracy Caldwell Dyson, were scheduled to undock from the ISS early on Friday and touch down in Kazakhstan at around 11 a.m. local time.
The trio have been in space for more than six months and carried out four space walks as part of the team of Expedition 24.
After they leave, three spacemen will remain on board the ISS, where they will be joined by three others in October.
