South Ossetia's constitutional future must be decided by its people, according to the leader of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.

Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut made the comments following a visit to the breakaway republic in the wake of the five day conflict between Russia and Georgia.      “The destiny of South Ossetia will be decided by the South Ossetian people, taking into account history and the present realities of life,” he said. “It is also necessary to take into account close cooperation and relations with North Ossetia.”
