Five people have been killed after a gunman opened fire in a shopping mall in Finland's second largest city of Espoo on Thursday, according to local police.

43-year-old Ibrahim Shkupolli, dressed in black, started shooting in a grocery store on the second floor of the mall.

Emergency services have rushed to the scene while the shopping centre has been evacuated.

Police spokesman Jurki Karlio said train network to the shopping mall was stopped to allow police to search for the suspect.
