Search continues for 3 mountaineers missing in Russia's Far East

The search operation for 3 missing mountaineers in the Kamchatka Region in Russia's Far East has been called off for the night. The climbers went missing after a heavy snowstorm on Saturday.

Their 6 friends who were sheltering from a snowstorm in the mountains were found at a height of 2,000 metres.One of the missing tourists gave the rescuers his position data but the connection was lost and he has not been found.Snowstorms continue in the area, preventing the use of a helicopter in the operation, but rescuers say the 3 missing mountaineers are experienced enough to survive.
