Armenia's new President Serzh Sarkisyan is being sworn in at a special inauguration session of the country's National Assembly in Yerevan.

Sarkisyan, who was the country's prime minister, beat nine other candidates for the top job. He says his first step as president will be to form a coalition government, which will consist of four parties represented in the parliament. The outgoing president Robert Kocharyan has been in power for two terms.
