“The South Korea's government made a decision to start the first shipment of 3,000 tonnes of food aid to North Korea from Gunsan to Nampo port on June 30. The total aid to the impoverished North Korea will be up to 400,000 tonnes of rice,” Lee Jae-Joung, South Korea’s Unification Minister, said. Meanwhile, the Chief inspector of the International Atomic Energy Agency is on his way to North Korea to negotiate the terms by which the pledged shut-down of a nuclear reactor will be verified.
