Russia has been recalling its representative to the European Court of Human Rights, Pavel Laptev. According to Vedomosti newspaper some officials claim he submitted a resignation last week.
Pavel Laptev has been in office for 8 years.A source in the French city of Strasbourg that hosts the court says although the Russian President has not yet signed a decree, the decision is firm. The reasons have not been named.
