The Russian cargo spaceship ‘Progress 24’ has successfully docked with the International Space Station. It has brought fuel, scientific equipment, food and gifts for the crew.

The operation has been conducted automatically, but cosmonauts were at the ready. In addition to scientific equipment and fuel, Progress 24 has delivered food and packages from relatives to Russian and American cosmonauts. New so-called ‘bio-tourists’ have also arrived at the space station. Snails and worms will join Mikhail Tyurin, Michael Lopez-Allegria and Sunita Williams in orbit.
