Militants in Nigeria have released two Russians, two Ukrainians and a Pole who were taken hostage when their ship Hercules was seized last week. The Russian embassy says all the men were freed unharmed.

The ship was stormed close to an oil platform on July 24 by an armed group in two high-speed motor boats. The ship was later released along with seven crewmembers. However, the attackers held on to five hostages, but didn't issue any demands for a ransom.
