A Russian teenager will spend 14 years in prison for his role in the race murder of a black Congolese student in St. Petersburg two years ago.

Andrey Gerasimov was found guilty, along three other teenagers who were sentenced to either nine and seven years jail. The prosecution proved to the court that the four attacked the Congolese student because of the colour of his skin and then fatally wounded him using a knife. The African died three days later in hospital. The prosecution used footage from CCTV cameras to help secure a guilty verdict.
