Russian film director Konchalovsky turns seventy

Russian film director, Andrey Konchalovsky, is celebrating his 70th birthday. He is best known in the West for his film “Tango and Cash”, staring Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russel.

His latest film “Gloss” premiered at Moscow's Pushkinsky movie theatre on Sunday. It explores the shady side of Russia's fashion industry. In 2002 Konchalovsky was nominated for an Oscar for his film “House of Fools” that was shot in Russia. Also an accomplished photographer, he plans to publish a book and organise an exhibition of his works.
