Cyclist Vladimir Efimkin has enjoyed the best win of his career – taking the fourth stage in the Tour of Spain and the overall lead.

The 25-year-old launched a lone attack with ten kilometres to go. He crossed the mountain-top finish one minute and six seconds ahead of his nearest rival. That is also the same margin in which he leads the general classification from fellow-Russian Denis Menshov in second.
