The fifteenth crew of the International Space Station have completed a six-hour-long spacewalk. Russian cosmonauts Fyodor Yurchikhin and Oleg Kotov have installed special panels to protect the station from meteorites.
This spacewalk was a debut for the Russian cosmonauts. They were aided by NASA astronaut Sunita Williams, who was inside the station and used a camera to guide them. The panels are used to protect the International Space Station (ISS) from small particles and space junk and were delivered by the U.S. shuttle Discovery in December 2006.More panels will be attached during a separate space walk on June 6.
