Meanwhile, Ukraine's official position is that it made the remaining payment on April 28, 2008, as Ukrainian PM Yulia Timoshenko announced during her visit to Moscow. Yury Prodan, Ukrainian Fuel and Energy Minister, confirmed her words. “We have paid off the gas debt to Russia in full,” he said.
