Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and his Italian counterpart Silvio Berlusconi have been taken on board of a unique fire-fighting aircraft.

The BE-200 plane is used by Russia's Emergency Ministry for search and rescue, maritime patrol and cargo and passenger transportation. It's also used as a frontline defense against wildfires.

Berlusconi sat up front, and according to the Italian Prime Minister, experienced an unbelievable feeling of power.

The plane can scoop up gallons of water while skimming the surface at almost takeoff speeds.

Berlusconi was visiting Russia for talks on Russian-Italian relations.
